Regina Mills: So many people in the mayor’s office today!

“Well, how about we eat first. I mean I really haven’t eaten all day. Then clothing. Besides that might take a long time.” She said. She had a habit of being picky about what she wore and really didn’t want to put her through that yet.
“Of course, dear. I haven’t eaten all day, either,” she confessed, nodding at Eva. She had spent all day laboring over paperwork for the new town park. So, she could use the fuel to continue. “And, don’t worry. Your meal is on me,” she offered, continuing to lead them to Granny’s.
“Are you sure? You don’t have to pay for me?” She reaches for her own purse and laughs nervously. “Well, it looks like you might have to this time. I left my purse at home. Need to stop doing that. Not everyone is going to be as nice as you are.”
“Don’t worry about it, dear,” Regina reassured, digging through her wallet and setting a wad of cash on the table. She flashed Eva a warm smile and pulled out another wad for Eva. “Here. This should be enough to get you along for a while. But, I could talk Granny about getting you a job here? How does that sound?”
Eva smiles “Mayor Mills, you are a amazing woman. Thank you. You don’t have to do this. Why are you doing this? I am a stranger after all. And I will pay you back once I get my things brought here.”
